Though I hadn't been with my guy for as long as you, I know what this feels like. He is much older than I am (not sure that is the main issue) but he is always stuck in a rut, and cannot handle stress AT ALL. I just relived the part you wrote about having the energy sucked out of me. That is what this man did to me too until I decided I cannot let him. I had to change the way I responded and reacted. A lot more too it, but I felt your pain for that short read!
