It is easy to misinterpret what people are thinking and when you are sitting alone you have more time to think about it.
The other thing is that people are often not looking at anyone in particular but staring into space in a world of their own

You might be surprised that some people might not pity you
but envy your confidence.
No not me, but sometimes when I have thought people are staring they have spoken to me and admitted they lack confidence and wished they could do that.

absolutely Ikoo ..it's so nice to just sit down by yourself and enjoy a good meal ..I do that a lot on lunch breaks ..go to a restaurant ..just to enjoy the quiet ..and I always notice people staring like I'm pathetic for being on my own .....if only they knew
