Ah, yes the mountains of the present, past and future...I pray I can overcome these mountains...I certainly try my hardest to climb and climb.  I have a dear writer friend, and when we sign off our goodbyes, we always say, "meet you at the top of the mountain! Dear poem, Dearest Write, this was indeed thought provoking.  ~Elyse

Thank you for sharing such a beautifully written poem.  The mountains are awesome, powerful!  I love spending time in the mountains.  They can be frightening in bad weather, but people who live there know how to deal with the threat of those beautiful mountains.  Thanks, Ger

They outlast us, don't they! The Andes hides the secrets of extra-terrestrials. The Himalayas hides the secrets of great holy men!

Wonderful recognition! I adore the mountains. Especially this time of year when they are snow capped and the valley is starting to get green.  sam

Thank you for reading. I can only wonder what the top of the mountian truly feels like. I evny you in that. (I am very scared of the height of most mountians with its' edges).

wigopa, some of my most loved memories are of the mountains, in the mountains, on top of the mountains and those who experienced that with me.  I love your poem.
