Great work!
When my brother and I lived at home, we fought constantly, but we loved each other and no one else better jump on one of us or they had to deal with both of us. I didn't write at the time or I probably would have writers a story and maybe a poem for him too. Lyle never did begin writing, and I didn't until after he died.
Tell your son that he did a great job on this one Trene, and I hope to read more of his work. There are free sites that he can post his writings without having to pay to have an account. One is http://www.creative-poems.com/ and another is http://www.allpoetry.com/. Tell him not to mess with poetry.com, as they will try to sell him books and other things that aren't worth the money.
