- Go to Who is buying Bhutan?
My source here was a short piece on CNN so you can judge for yourself how much worth the views expressed have. They did interview some at least one candidate and he was traveling for days to get to the various villages in an extremely mountainous Bhutan. It is a Buddhist country and everybody that was interviewed indicated that they were actually happy living in the Kingdom as it is and that they also loved the King. So I fail to comprehend why the King now wants democracy. That is why I'm thinking there has to be something more in it for him. Which King of a country who's people adore him and are happy with the politics as is would want democracy and why, are the questions that prompted my comment.
