I am with you Marie! I suffer from asthma and I cringed throughout the last full paragraph. If people only knew the fear when breathing becomes a life/death matter. Respiratory distress is such an awful experience. sam

Elyse, thanks for your comments. I think we need a grassroots groundswell to confront the issues. I want to write a booklet for consumers, then one for the medical/rehab professionals. But I think the first step is to tell my story to solidify the focus. Your encouragement and support is just what I need. I am always willing to be a voice in the wilderness if need be. But a body of unified voices is what gets the job done. Thanks to you and others for being there. Marie

I am all ears and eyes...I want to hear of this. I am an advocate as well. I see more and more of this type of neglect and offense that you speak of...and it makes my blood run cold...I wish I could help more.
