A blank wall is OK!  Every thing requires attention, the fewer the number of things, the more 'free' attention you have.......to put into the important things!

Resilience
We do often judge or form an opinion of another person by their possessions but I enjoy going into other people's home to see how they live and observing the "things" they consider so special.  I am reminded of human diversity and more often than not quite I am charmed and intrigued by other people's homes (including a blank wall).
