I always have a pair of mourning doves in the oak tree in my backyard at the lake, and it would break my heart if one of them fell victim to a hawk............vivid imagery

Yes-there were feathers all over the place-we screamed at the hawk-he must have been shocked to hear us-he 'let go' his hold and flew! Thank God-so did the Dove! Just a few less feathers-seemingly-unharmed! Thank you mariaki. Chris.
