Parsee cooking, although a little heavy, is very tasty. I suspect we don't hear about the positive things about other cultures and what they have to offer is because the media can't be bothered. It's easier fro them to stick with the stereotypes.

It is great that your father's birthday was on March 21. I forgot to mention that my niece - Nomita - also had her birthday - she turned 32.

Pharsee
I heard a show on NPR the other day that dealt specifically with Pharsee cooking and it sounded delightful. I wonder why we don't hear more of the good things other cultures/religions have to offer?

Greenfields, I'm mesmerized by your report here---thank you for your prose and poetry blended as well ~ I enjoyed
March 21st is special to me as well...It is a reminder of my father's birthday - 1918-1978 (I always remember this date) --- significance along with Spring's arrival - Rejuvination and Renewal ~ it's all poetry to my heart ~ and this year, we celebrate Easter on this weekend.

It seems I picked
a very good day to be recovering in hospital from surgery. And then later to return to my home and to sit quietly reading and writing a little, and quietly watching everyone buzz about me.

Greenfields - You are filled with LIGHT.......it shines through in your writing.....and, I do enjoy reading your posts. Yesterday was a fantastic day for me. I went with my husband early in the morning to pick up his sons......we all went to breakfast and I had pancakes. Then, we took them shopping for some clothes. Later in the day we all went to dinner. But, you cannot tell by the weather here in Chicago that it is OFFICIALLY spring. As we were driving to dinner, it was SNOWING........and it was predicted that we could get up to 8 inches. Have a wonderful weekend. Namaste
