Jemmie, the crazy girl was driven to the interview, then she put on HIGH
HEELED shoes and walked into the interview as though she were fine, afraid that they wouldn't hire her with a broken foot!!! Now, That is so similar to Labor pains, that I don't worry about her ability to endure incredible pain in silence. Xena the Mexican Warrior Girl. Today, she is finally in a cast and on crutches. She is still saying that she doesn't need medication. Amazing.

From Nurse Garfield

Jemmie, I can't blame you for feeling frustrated. My humans get frustrated as well when they are laid up with similarly painful problems.

I hope your neice gets on Univision so we can see her. Sorry to hear about her foot. We'll put her in our prayers for both the job and the foot.

Heal, foots!

jemm, my niece broke her foot yesterday and they asked if she had insurance.

She's visiting from Mexico. When she said no, they x-rayed her foot and said that yes it was broken. Then they said, that will be $350 and they sent her home with nothing added, no wraps and no medicines and nada.

She has a job interview in another city up the freeway for a t.v. reporter's spot en espanol. Poor baby. Poor you. REading is fabulous, better than medicine. It got me through three labor pain sessions fairly unscathed, until the very end when I couldn't remember what I had just read. With the fourth, there was no time to even read titles.

Foot, Heal Thyself!

Actually, Gryphon, perhaps I can pull out all those half-finished projects I have scattered around.  And, you know what, I think I still have one of those potholders I made when I was a kid from those weaving kits! hehe

Chris, actually, I haven't been eating much at all.  Haven't been hungry.  But I do need to figure out how to get some exercise without actually using my foot.  Perhaps situps or something.

Well, you've got a nice figure...don't ruin that by sitting on your ass and eating crisps all day.

How long did you say you're in for?
You should have taken up macrame or needlepoint so you'd be able to look interesting while doing nothing useful. Or maybe those weaving kits everyone used to make potholders out of when we were young.

Chin up, kiddo.

Heal, foot!
