- Go to CONSERVATIVES UPSET BECAUSE THE 'LIBERAL' MEDIA IS ACTUALLY BEING HONEST

Television is not the problem. You can no more blame TV for how it is used than you can blame a murder on the weapon. TV is a tool.
The problem is that too many people have been raised to not think at all. And I will honestly say I see that more in conservatives than in liberals. Most conservatives I know do not think for themselves. Just look at the conservatives here on Blogit. Most of them just repeat what they are told and very often they post proven misinformation. They don't think nor do they do any real research. Instead they take what they are fed and spit it back out, claiming that their side would never make up lies. Most of the anti-Obama stuff I have been seeing here are 100% pure misinformation, propaganda and lies. The conservatives seem to embrace this kind of thing, all the while looking for any mistakes made by liberals that they can then condemn.
They hate regular TV because most news programs are not as closed minded and focused on brainwashing as they want them to be. They want all news to be as one sided as it gets, that is why they like Fox News and Mr. Rush and his like. They don't want to hear other sides or get the whole story. They have been brainwashed and are nothing more than sheep for the most part, following the flock.
TV is far form being the real problem and should hold none of the blame.
I enjoy TV, but I do not let it do my thinking for me. But there are elements in our society that wish to try and make sure people do not think and want to have TV or some other form of media that they control, do the thinking. I once more comes down to educating our children correctly and get them able to think clearly and figure things out for themselves. That is why I have issue with the ideas of forced morals and such. The religious right would rather have all the kids become sheep above having them be able to think for themselves.

I blame "Big Bird"! I told my sister and she said not to repeat it in public, because they will "come to take me away"? I do think that whether our sitting a child in front of a TV is mentally healthy should be investigated? Television has become the shaper of thought and perception and it is dangerous! Somebody has to explain why we are drawn to and accept that medium as the source for everything from toothpaste to the size of our sex organs?
