Our two party system is a big part of the problem, and I have written about that in the past. I know too many people who vote all one party or the other just because of the party and not the candidates themselves. If anything we need to dump the whole party idea and just have people run on their own strengths and weaknesses without the preconceived B.S. of a party affiliation. Yes, that would be a little more complicated but at the same time it would most likely be better for the country.

It's all pointless to me. No matter who wins we will get screwed and America is about to go into turmoil.

That's unfortunately how the political game is played. So, all voters can or should do is to just ignore rumours and badmouthing and try to figure out who will do the best job. Not an easy task.

I agree with what you are saying............but, it is what it is......and always has been. It's the history of politics. Even Stephen Douglas and Abraham Lincoln engaged in these types of antics to gain favor with their audience. It's not going to change. And, it's certainly not limited to our country.......
