Re: Is the book literally written in Spanish?
No. The title is a reference to Elizabeth Browning's
Sonnets from the Portuguese, which itself was both a disguising of the poems' authorship by suggesting that they were translated from Portuguese and a sly reference to Elizabeth using Robert Browning's pet name for her: "my little Portuguese".
As to my sonnets, they are written by an older poet, me, to younger lady, as opposed to Portuguese, where Elizabeth Browning was an older poetess responding to Robert Browning's courtship with her sonnets. And the lady I am courting with these sonnets is partly Hispanic in ancestry, hence "the Spanish".
Hope that explains a few things. I would also hope to hear what you think about the book.

Congratulations Carl. The books do look nice. I try to find more information about the publisher. Maybe I get lucky with them too.
