And yes, I think it is fairly typical. It's interesting that we assume couples will have sex at night befoe they go to sleep. Very utilitarian.

I guess most of us find this scenario familiar and typical. I wonder though.... Why is it so typical? Are the roles in this story assumed by the genders or imposed by our society?

I'm also curious, what do any of you think happened next?

As I was reading this.......I'm thinking.....yep, sounds familiar....but, then I realized; those balled up socks (they're mine), those dishes in the sinks (I left them there), those DVD's that are OVERDUE (yep, I rented them about a month ago). I smiled at the end of your post....just a thought....
