Yes, I think what nautikos said is right. Clouds don't matter that much anymore. As far as Africa and the mess goes...I think, no comment needed. Enjoy your language course and thanks for taking the time of reading me.

And as far as solar panels are concerned, while I am no expert, it's my understanding that they are becoming more and more efficient, so that even on cloudy day's they're still capturing a substantial amount of photons...
