Re: Ash
I will see if I can find more of the reservation thoughts that I wrote while I was in college..and see what I can come up with..It has been a long while since I have gone back there..But I will see what I can find.

Re: Re: Ash
Marion, my good friend, perhaps you could share with us some of your memories from the reservation..would be cool..as very few people in this world have had that experience ! - Ash

Re: Ash
I like the west coast too..I was in DC for a while and I can say that the west coast just feels a little more like home then the east coast..Plus the first 8 years of my life was spent on a Native American reservation in South Dakota..where the biggest body of water was one of the small "fishing lakes" that were around. I am glad this brought back memories for you! Thank you soo much for stopping in. Great to see you my friend.

Some Aboriginal Australians
have a system of catergorising their peoples. The tribes are divided into desert people, river people, ocean people, and island people. Ocean people are the ones that live on the coast of the mainland.
Your poem made me think of this...

Marion, I lived by the sea during my pre-teen years...
to this date I long for the ocean, have travelled to all of them, and still want to keep doing it for the rest of my life..I can totally relate to this piece..btw, the entire West Coast of USA is one my most favorite, have been going there at least once every year for decades ! - Ash
