Johnmacnab, I love to read your post, though I am very sorry about your continuing eye problem and the news that your friend had for you. What a place you live in. Our snow has been gone for quite some time, although just a few days ago there was wet snow mixed with the rain. Keep writing. We need you.

You are entitled to moan about rain and chest colds, Pat - I do. Today the sun is shining, the temp is in double figures (+) and I've decided to tell the world to sod off. Take care of that cold.

You're quite right, majroj. I need to keep things in perspective.

An excellent idea, Azur. Even my introversion is becoming introverted.

Oh, dear, and I've been whining about rain and a chest cold...
All bad things must end... Just tell yourself that, and take time for a cup of tea... :)

Yes, there is always something to remind us
how lucky we are. Nevertheless it sounds like a particularly tiresome phase.
Re writing: why not write short bits that take you away from it all, not back into it.
