Re: Hunting camp memories.

     Sam,

Isn't it great to relive the good times with long gone people? Hearing you say, "Down below" like it was another country, brings back times when I lived in Laurium, and I had come from down below, myself. I felt like a foreigner, too. I think that everyone actually was much happier, way back then. This is a different world now and it will never be the same again. We can only be glad to have seen it, been there and remember it. Thanks, it is a pleasure to read anything you write.

Re: This was a very good read!

I'm not sure how to address you, CR or Shelly, (which could be a first or last name) so for now I'll just say, my friend.

I am happy that you enjoyed it. Perhaps it brought up good memories for you as well, even if they weren't about deer hunting camp. Our early memories of good times make them resonate for others who weren't there with us. This is a storyteller's gift to them. As I was telling Strat one day, if we were to pass each other on a sidewalk, we wouldn't even realize that we were friends, but we are. Cyber world is strange for this reason.

Re: Your comment on my blog about deer hunting camp

  Mermaid,

I am glad to see that you are feeling better now. Your daughter looks a lot like you and I'll bet she is charming. I thought it was very nice of her to let me know that you were sick because there really is something to the theory that if ones friends send out healing vibes, good thoughts, whatever you would call it, it can actually do good and help, somehow.

I remember deer hunting. They would come from down below and be decked out in their red plaid gear. My Uncle Larry was the coolest hunter. He never missed a year of getting his buck. As with you, these are some of my fondest memories. I might have been too young, but everyone seemed so much happier then. Great composition Guy!  sam
