- Go to The Cape ( A dedication To All Sexual Abuse Survivors)
My deepest sympathies on your victimization
And my sincerest hope that sometime, somewhere, a pure love will remove the need for that cape forever.

Lady
I know the cape you refer to. I'm a survivor (almost 30 years ago now) and still I wear the cape.

Re: This is like reliving a bad memory.
He may think he got away with it, but his day is coming. The one who tried to
rape me was in a fatal automobile crash. We must pray for God's will to be
done in this. He will pay. We don't know how or when, but he will. Whatever
we do in life always comes back to us. Keep the faith and be strong. My prayers
are with you!

I know the pain too.
My sister was raped when she was about fourteen years old. The never has
really gotten over it. One of my co-workers and her sister was raped. It
happened to her when she was a small child and her sister when she was
attending college. She was given a date rape drug and raped and left on
side of the road naked for dead. I feel your pain. These are people I love.
I had a family friend who tried to rape me, but I got away from him. He
was killed in a car accident after he had raped other women. I was only
about thirteen when he tried to rape me. I left home until my parents
returned home. My older brother was there, but he wouldn't help me, but
I was strong enough to get away. This is a terrible crime against women.
Many of them get away with it because of the shame. Great Poem, I'll
share your poem with my friend and my sister, if that's okay.

I have faith in you! We have both been brutalized by the opposite sex! Live and do what must be done. Predators and feminists are both evil!

This is like reliving a bad memory.
My perp never was arrested. Great poem, though, and quite cathartic reading this piece. Hopefully the laws stick, and apply to those held above the law that they get paid to uphold...anyway thank you for this.
