TAPS: I realized this all when I was here for five minutes. As I stated in my post, most of the ranking writers here are "pretty good", and I acknowledge that for the most part, their offerings here "much more accurately reflects their position in the standings."
What ticks me off is how a particular blogger continually stays at the top of a category when the said blogger has offended and insulted everyone in the forum at one time or another regularly as a matter of normal behavior and continues to sit perched atop his category of choice.

jmh---I think it's more "I'll click whoever comments on me", and the person with the most comments rises to the top. When their behavior is extraordinarily bad, though, as I've seen in the nine months I've been here from this specific person, it's aggrivating.

Ranking on Blogit has nothing to do with how well or how badly one writes. It is pure popularity. It is simply who people choose to read. Some people don't really even write, they post pictures, jokes, emails they have received, cartoons, etc. Mind you, I am not complaining about that. I think it adds interest to the site. Bloggers who expect for top pops to be examples of wonderful writing are in for a big disappointment at Blogit. People who wish to be "Top" or "Pop" won't necessarily make it just because they write well. This is just a place to have a little fun, enjoy other people and write now and then.

Most writing is so subjective, it's hard to rank it anyway. But, I agree with you that part of the Blogit game is about clicking.
