I looked up the Johnny Cash song - that would've made sense too. The origin of my line though is a rather silly expression that goes "Well slap me silly and call me Susan!"  :)

Hi john - not sure but I think u guessed it - it's pretty simple, my name is Sue ;) and so I was playing around with that. Some of my 'songs' are more about rhythm and playing with words than much deep meaning!

Interesting write. Was a little thrown off with 4th line "call me Sue" . (Johnny Cash, a man named Sue?). Couldn't get sense of direction M or F. So went to profile, and think I got an idea why you inserted this line. A wonderful and novel idea. But sometimes, just as poets, we got to re-enter the thought and slap ourselves around just to find the right language. (And when we start slugging it out with orselves makes Guantanamo look like a play pen!)Let me know what you think, or if I stepped on a loose stone.
