Excellent post! I have several lesbian friends (I went to school outside of Northampton, MA, so that's to be expected) and one said - it's less about the "sex" and more about the "emotions" so we should be called "homoemotionals" rather than "homosexuals" which made a lot of sense to me.

I am sending an email because I have a cute story for you. I had it nearly completed and I hit something and lost it in cyber space. I am frustrated but I will get it out soon. sam

I welcome the change. I loved how you tied the Iran concept together. And the reference to suffering with the rest of us is priceless. For some this could end up being: be careful what you ask for. It is easier to terminate relationships when marriage is not a factor. But it is a matter of equal rights for everyone.
Regarding the fifteen letter minimum: I was upset because I always make an effort to leave a quality comment. Some blog entries are not conducive to long comments. I have some phrases and single words that drive my comments. When I had to meet a minimum number of letters to submit a comment I felt I was being dictated to and then censored when I was blocked. My flowers were taken away with this rule as well. I think commenting is between myself and the person I am reading. If I fail a person I would rather deal with the person to make a comment in a manner that makes them comfortable or helps to improve their work. The blocking of my comment sent the message I was spamming when it was quite the opposite. It is gone now and they lived happily ever after on Blogit! lol
I know you are not a poetry person but it warms my heart when you stop by. sam
As you can see, I don't have a problem with writing enough, I have a problem being told I have. Have a wonderful day in Michigan. It must be getting beautiful by now.

Re:Swinging pendulums!
Zenster,
I couldn't agree more! The whole country is waiting for a change from ol' Bushy Tail! Why shouldn't gays be just as miserable as all the rest of us? Once they marry, they will change what they want to be called to "sads!" Lesbians who marry, will die seven years sooner, because they will be marrying women just like us short-lived men have done, since ol' Adam counted his ribs and came up one rib short. Personally, I have often felt like we men got the smelly end of the stick! I'm sure you are probably the exception that proves the rule, though.

I feel the pendulum beginning to swing......(come 'on baby.....go...go). I do believe this is just the first of many "changes" that we will be seeing as BUSH and his boys exit Washington. And, all I can say is......GOOD RIDDANCE to them all........bring on the changes. I've always felt that gays should be able marry and I am happy to see this taking place. It gives me hope......even if it IS only a little bit of hope.
