We have a similar problem in Boise. We do not have near the bikes on the road but it is a big biking community. I say jump on that Giant and ride, I should get on my Giant as well. Happy riding and I hope you will share your outing! sam

Given the numbers of riders, I suspect the number of accidents involving cars and bicycles are probably very low. Unlike in Canada, where you have approx. 1 bicycle (mine) per ten million cars and trucks! Seeing a bicycle infuriated a driver a couple of years ago, so he decided to eleiminate it (and me), as related here:
