Thank you I am so glad you do enjoy the series. Yes that is what the Bible is showing us. God does not show Eve as the bad one. She sinned and had to pay but what the curse shows is that she was taken in and admitted to that by Satan and by her husband who is blaming her. She fell prey to the Devil's wiles and had to pay for it. If the man of the house is not doing his part then it is up to the woman as 'help mate' to step up to the plate and do or demand what is right.
From what we see about Abraham he had no Bible to read, he had only what he felt in his heart and God did speak to him. I think he may have thought that this was what was intended after all Sari was way past childbearing age and if they had not given them children there would have not been Hebrews. Both were trying to 'help God' we always mess up when we do that.
I am so glad you enjoy these. I love you and Be blessed in the Lord.

I am enjoying this series.
I had never really thought about it before, but I wonder why the husband, the spiritual leader of the house, didn't step up and say, "No, Sar, I trust my God to fulfill His promises. He always does. I won't sleep with Hagar." It seems to me that churches tend to blame the women for tricking men into sin. For example, it was bad Eve who gave Adam the apple--but why didn't he exert his authority as spiritual leader of the house and tell her no?
I enjoy the way you make this woman seem like real people with real motivations and thoughts. Your love of the Bible is showing! Good job. I love you.
