Re: Publishing
This is horrible, but I've never really thought about it. I wouldn't know where to begin. Also, I don't generally write a poem in one sitting. Each is a labor in itself; some have taken me years to complete. I'll literally have a stanza or two write themselves in my head, I'll jot them down and not be able to complete the thought then. I'll come back to my notes months or even years later to finish. Temporus Stasi, which I finished a month or so ago in Thailand started life while on another deployment 10 months ago in South Korea, but I wrote the title (just the title, mind you) in the summer of 2003 while in the Florida Keyes. I do that alot - Start a poem from an idea for a title. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I don't know anything about the process to get published or the demands placed by the publisher to make timelines, etc.

One word:
Extraordinary!
Has your poetry been published? If not, you should seriously consider putting together a collection!

Thanks for reading!
I hope you enjoy reading this one as much as I enjoyed writing it. It's taken me a few weeks to get it to sound the way I wanted and to communicate my intent, and I was so relieved today to finally feel it 'click'. I couldn't wait to share it. Let me know what you think. - Chris
