Thank NiteTide - I was just thinking back to summers when I was a kid... they ere so much more fun than they are now
this poem wasn't meant especially to be a tribute to friendship, but then good times and friends were an inclusive thing when I was a boy - all my good times were with them (or so it seems to me now) so I suspect there were elements of that tribute leaking out

Oh, your poem completely made me want to run through the lake over here. It's been so hot lately that I was jealous of your poem and it's splashing fun. LOL. j/k. This was a lovely piece and a great tribute to friendship, I think.
