In the first (and second) place, there's no reason you can't write
two novels at once. Compartmentalization is part of a modern woman's repertoire; you have details for the job to keep in mind, a shopping/to-do list/appointment calendar and a thousand other things if you've got a house, kids, spouse, etc.. to manage. You've been working on assignments two or more at a time... In fact, it might be good for your mental health to have a backup when you hit a little snag on one of them.
In the third place, thanks to Mysteria for the lovely photo of George. Brought my blood pressure up a point or two!!!

The most brilliant Letter for a cover is an embroidered, scarlet A.
I think.
But, I would try the Clooney photo and cross my fingers, if it is going to a woman

Good luck with it Azur
Multi-tasking is good ... unfortunately my supervisor doesn't agree lol. I have three, no four, pieces of work lurking in my systray and if I close any of them I will lose momentum.. so much for being organised.

Re: You never know......... Hollybird, I feel good about it
of course if I am not chosen i will want to stick my head in a bucket for a day or two. I'd be interested in the celeb's view on rejections along the way for writers.

Good luck!
And as for the cover letter... Well I've never done any before, but I think straightforward, honest and a wee bit tongue-in-cheek attitude works the best. Let them smile, let them live through your emotions - if only for a moment - and they'll notice you.

i like your way of thinking my dear...whatever goes on with that novel of yours, i wish you all the luck and I believe 12 out of 40 chance is not bad at all. If ever, there is always a next time my dear...always.
