- Go to Sometimes We Are Too Aware Of The Self
Azur

Seems to me the only appropriate comment is to hug and let you know we are all in that boat at times.

I identify too well with the last couple of sentences, and in essence
that's partially the reason for the moniker.
Sometimes, too much of what I would like to say is cringe-making, but seems a lot less squirm inducing when written, or maybe, I've just developed a thicker skin.
Don't worry about it, heart on sleeve makes for a more sincere person, and trumps those who keep their cards close to their chest in my book.

Azur, the self is so interconnected with the people we love, it's impossible to separate the two. 25% acceptance is quite good; if it doesn't work this time around, it will another time. Bless:)

(PS - I love being back here, want to come and stay?)

Wondering
do you think that we are so well schooled from media and books to talk shows, telling us to peel back the layers of what we are made of? Of all topics that any of us could explore, I'm not certain that the study of ourselves brings all that much value. What is it that we are suposed to do with all this self awareness? Personally, I think peeling back the layers on someone else would be much more interesting.

Hi Azur, I agree the ego needs to get out of the way so creativity can begin! You have the fullest writing plate of anyone I know! You will be successful in the writing blog! You know your dimensions and that for me is critically important! sam

I wonder how many of us would write if we were not allowed to write anything at all about ourselves and the if "I" word was anathema.

What's that line about the unexamined life?
Sometimes I work that quote backwards -- the unlived life isn't worth examining... Sorry, Azur, but you're blessed/cursed with the third eye, the curiousity, the fundamental need to grasp meaning. You've no choice but to ride the tyger, tyger burning bright...

the self that is mine is an attention fiend and to analyze the
