Transformation
Thanks to all of you who viewed/commented on the poem. I was trying to express the transformation both in words, and in the structure of the poem. I wanted the reader to feel the transformation, the loss of self, and the exhaustion/breathlessness of the subject of the poem. I hope that I have succeeded. Thank you.

At first read I thought this was about something else entirely!! I see now
you were having a nightmare. I really enjoyed this and the cooling off and waking at the end. Lovely!

Joe!!! This was so damn cool! I got my cadence from the thrust of the words. The varied stress was incredulous! I don't know how to fully explain it but it was like a race and yet it was a joy ride. I know there is a ton in this poem that was created naturally. I will be back tomorrow and have a look. I am so addicted to your poetry, I had to come read even though quite late for me! Two reads are always a blast anyway. Now I slip away and wish you a fine evening and wonderful day tomorrow! sam
