Re: sometimes computers should think for themselves.
I agree Kabu! My computer should have known I was about to do something silly!
It gives me error messages and warnings for things that I mean to do...but when I'm about to make a huge mistake, there's not a warning to be had!

sometimes computers should think for themselves.
I think if one could punch in older blonder and self taught, the computer should be able to cover mistakes for one. But No!!!!!

Re: I agree with Talion's suggestion. Wish I'd thought of it.
Thanks Pat! Yes, Talion is a wise one!
Since most of my days are spent writing anyways, I had originally thought that simply posting a video would be something a bit different. But, as you and Talion have pointed out, writing would be bit is more interesting for the reader and it's good practice for me--2 birds with one stone!

Re: May I have the next dance, ma'am?
I'm all yours Naut--but only if you promise to never call me "ma'am" again!

Re:
Talion, I almost always do "live" posts, because this is like a warm up writing session for me--totally free form, so I can get the words flowing. By the time I've done my post, I'm all ready to get to work on my project!
Thanks for the suggestion--I think it's a great idea, and I will try to do a blurb about each song/video!

Re: hey Sira
Poetry is one of the most popular things on this site--I suppose because, like you said, they're shorter. Quicker to write, quicker to read!
Thanks for reading

Re: Had the same thing happen today--
I'm with you on that one--it is really frustrating! The story usually crops up a few days later, once I've gotten over losing it the first time.

Re: I am there Sira!! I love music too ... not sure how I would make it
I hope you like it vicki--I'll be trying to keep a lot of variety in there, so hopefully there will be something for everyone!

I agree with Talion's suggestion. Wish I'd thought of it.
And to refer back to Talion's latest post of one of his early poems -- writing improves with practice, so please dedicate a little time in your busy busy life to work with words. There's so much life in your posts, I'd hate to see that talent neglected... :)pat

I never, ever write my posts "live" prefering to compose in a word document and then copying and pasting when I'm ready to post. I've never lost a post, but I must admit, I have a few dozen incomplete ones languishing on my hard drive. As far as the new blog goes, may I offer a suggestion? Don't just embed a video and call it a day. Tell us why the particular song is important to you. It's a lot more interesting for the reader to actually have something to read.

hey Sira
I know what you mean about fiction replies on BlogIt. is kinda the opposite on my other place - they loved the fiction and less so with the poetry. I like it here because the shortened length of poems makes producing them a better, as you say, "bang for buck" Thanks

Had the same thing happen today--
but forgot to save a long comment before posting it--and then discovered the internet connection had fallen off.
Sometimes when this happens, I am just too mad to rewrite. But later, I can come back to it: won't be the same words, but it will still be the same message, that I originally wanted to convey from the same source .

I am there Sira!! I love music too ... not sure how I would make it
through a single day without my favorite tunes. I'm always open to new music, so this will be the bomb!
