you really do write great posts sweetie. I always enjoy a laugh
I love it when they send someone away and completely renovate a house in a couple of days.
Of course they don't show you the army of people working round the clock in shifts to do it or even if it really did take two days.
Kisses for you and pats for Bo.

If old houses could talk we would be surprised with all the things they could tell us. I love old houses and my hubby laughs because I like to explore them.

I always watch those shows
They give me great inspirations and ideas. But ofc, what takes them a day takes me a week (at best). Funny how they can renovate a bathroom in 3 days and for the rest of the world it takes 3 weeks. DIY is the best, especially when someone else is doing it...

My husband grew up in a house that was built around an old slave cabin. The cabin was made into the kitchen, and had very very low overhead clearance!
After the house was sold, it was bought by a couple who wanted to renovate the whole thing, which they did, and then put it on the market for $1million! Eventually, I believe the bank reclaimed it--don't know what became of it after that, although last time I drove by, it was still standing at the back of a large piece of front acreage.

Son #3 learned all about how to fix up old houses by buying a big, rambling old house in Portland, OR about 20 years ago for $12,000 and learning bit by bit by experimentation. He ended up selling it for $190,000 and in the process became a master builder.

kind of like the infomercials but I did find an item that seems to work and that is the Putty, it actually has sealed a leak in the house we live in. Don know how long it will last, but for now its fixed. I like those shows that teach you how to redecorate
