I know how necessary and how hard this moment is,
but also how good, that you have done the best thing and done it in the best way. Finally, when the grief has passed, there will be a lot of healing in knowing you honored your friend's trust and need, you did the very best for her that could be done.
The testing would have been hellish for her, and it would probably have made nothing better, though it would have answered questions.

Sira...
This may sound like an odd thing for me to say, but thank you so much for setting your friend free. I know she is grateful to you...You have my prayers, as do your parents...

Whoa.....
You've brought a few tears to my eyes........it's a hard thing to do...to caress someone who has been a loyal, loving member of the family, while this is done.....
I had a mobile vet come and do it to my cairn terrier. She'd been my best bud for 16 years and I held her in my arms as the shot was administered......she looked as if she was saying thank you as the twinkle of life in her eyes slowly dimmed........

Amazing how deep it cuts when we lose a pet. I hope you and your family
will soon remember only the good times when you think about her.

Puppy heaven
That is a nice thought.
I'm sure being with you at the end made it safe and easier. Give your mom a hug
