I'm glad you posted this. As a bystander I never comment on political
situations or elections in the USA but when it comes to blatant racism I am really sad. We need people like you who are willing to write their beliefs unafraid.

Gapcohen, How sad that there are hate-mongers in office. But, then, I guess they are really just everywhere aren't they. Keep writing.

Whitnum is a nitwit! What bothers me about these types is that often they are plumbing deep undercurrents of kneejerk anti-Semitism that dresses itself up in garments of mourning for Palestinian suffering and speaks in code. Either these people don't know history, or they just don't give a damn...
Maybe I need to begin writing about Islamo-fascism again, as I have done before...

Re: It's Really Too Bad....
Editormum - thanks for responding. This news is pretty fresh. I'm sure we'll be hearing from the ADL soon enough! Mal

It's Really Too Bad....
that people can get away with making public statements in a political campaign that they would never be allowed to make in any other forum. Such sentiments could easily get you sued if uttered in a non-political context. Where's the local Anti-Defamation League?
I am glad that Israel has nukes. They need them. I am glad that they have strong leaders who are wise enough to try less drastic measures to discourage wrongdoers and dissidents. I'm not sure I could be so patient or so lenient.
My Bible says that I am to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, which is the heart of Israel. I don't understand what Bible the other Christians are reading that lets them think it's okay to mistreat and disrespect that tiny, feisty little country. I'll be interested to hear how this election turns out, Gap.
