This is just an amazing piece. I know a lot of thought went into it and it shows. I want you to know I was thrilled to find it and be able to read it. John, music is so elemental, so primal and you have captured its essence in your writing. It does not matter which ca,e first , if the drum or the flute... what matters is that we humans found the way to own that cadence...that melody that gives us so much pleasure... It probably started with a person crying... the weeping taking a repeticious melodic sound... and then the next one that felt sad or in pain imitated it and so forth and so on... or perhaps it was imitating a bird's song... softly ... or just banging on a hollow fallen trunk... showing happiness or boredom...who knows? the point is that someone somewhere found music and the rest is history :-) I am amazed that you have learned and play so many instruments... how wonderful! It must enhance your life tremendously to be able to create at so many different levels... You are incredible my friend... keep at it and you will have your booklet soon enough... even a book if we are lucky. You have a great start in this post. xoxo

Wonderful!
I loved this. I played piano and violin throughout my youth. I have never considered myself a musician, because, even though I played instruments, I never really understood the music. My teacher didn't force me to learn the theory. She gave up on me. I love music and its beat. But I don't understand it, not really. I will come back again. And thanks for checking out my
Southern Rap.
