RSM, you have no fears?
You have an irrational fear of radical Muslims coming after you violently here in the US, to tell you that you have to convert or die. That is as paranoid as it gets.
And the Unpatriotic Act did nothing but take our rights away and make us less free. I was mostly being sarcastic with my comment there, but there was a level of truth to it. The comment I made, according to the Unpatriotic Act, could be more than enough to get my arrested under the act as a possible terrorist, at which point I basically could vanish off the face of the Earth and be treated about as inhuman as it gets with no chance of a fair trial or any justice at all. And all I did was speak my mind there. That is undeniable FACT. Anyone who backs the Unpatriotic Act, clearly does not understand freedom ,liberty or justice in the least.
And to the beginning of your comment, since I think I know what word you meant in the first sentence, the rest of the rational people here in the US know this as well. it is the paranoid, irrational ones who refuse to grasp such truths and are acting ridiculous by wanting to give up their freedoms because it makes them feel safer. They also voted for Bush and will most likely, foolishly, vote for McCain, because they desire us to be engaged in war so that they have more reasons to be afraid and paranoid.

And you call me paranoid? The Patriot Act is nothing but a good thing. However, I have no such fears as you do because I personally have nothing to fear. Obviously that is not true in your case?

While I am sure there are some extremist Muslims in this country, they are not organized and are no real threat to us. of that I have no doubt. Have you looked at who the FBI has been picking up in their so called 'crackdown on terror' here in the US? These 'dangerous' Muslims are basically clueless and no threat. They have been a bunch of talk, but have had no real plans or equipment to pull it off (Besides, Bush is sending more than enough Americans over to the Middle East for them to kill over there, so they don't need to be doing it here. Which is really the only logic I have been able to come up with to back any claim Bush has made to say we are safer now than we were before 9/11). If there really were organized Muslims terrorists here in the US, then they have already missed their big chance. If they had any real footing in this country and really wanted to terrorize us, then we would have had the deadly week ever right after 9/11 during a time when the country itself was in a state of confusion. The fact that they only really had the one chance, which is clear as it gets right now, shows that they have no real organization over here. If I had spent years working up such an attack as what we saw on 9/11, you can bet I would also have in place a dozen other smaller attacks around the country ready to go as well to make sure that real terror was created. And thanks to the Unpatriotic act, I can now be arrested without warrant and be held indefinitely without ever being charged with a crime or given a fair trial or even treated as anything remotely human, due to what I just said there. When we get to the point where we might loose our freedoms because we speak our minds due to our leaders having taken our rights away in the name of national security, that is when we should be afraid. The terrostis could never cause us more harm than that.

are you working for the FBI now? You sure seem very confident of yourself in this statement, and I admit I hope you are right.
However, In your zealousness to uphold and defend muslims in this post 9-11 world you might be blind siding yourself a little. After all, they wouldn't be worth their salt as terrorists these days if they could be easily detected by law enforcement and certainly by ave. american citizens. The "christian terrorists" in those sites are sick morons to be sure, but likely being monitored by law enforcement in this country, without the impediment of political correctness to boot. Islamic terrorists, I would wager, are more ambitious and intelligent and have much bigger fish to fry.

I can read it as many times as you want, but it always points to you being paranoid bigot. You give no rational logic as to how the radical Muslims are going to be able to do this. just them coming over here is NOT going to create this delusion you are spitting out there.
All you have done by presenting the whole of our exchange is show everyone that you really are paranoid. You are showing how you have linked unrelated ideas and thrown in a bunch of BS that had nothing to do with the topic, in a manner that shows you to be irrational and foolish.
As for me needing to be banned, I would think it should start with those who spread the hate-filled ignorance in an insulting manner filled with ideas that generalize people by saying something along the lines of 'all these people of this one group just because they are of this group are a cancer', That actually is 100% against Blogit policy you see. And if someone were to desire to get someone banned from Blogit, pointing out such a immature, childish violation of Blogit policy might do that.

It seems that you stretching this one out of shape to try to make a point. I am an American Conservative Republican Christian, which you know, and if the Muslims wish to have their holiday then they have a right to voice their concerns. I have no problem with this. What I do have a problem with is the radical Muslims who demand you convert or die. That is what I have a huge problem with and why I am 100% for the war against the radical Muslims who wish to inflict their hatred and killing upon all of us, your family included.
However, we must examine what you have found here. Could these Muslims be "clinging to their religion"? Of course they are and rightfully so. What do you have to say about a Reverend's birthday being a national holiday? Do you have a problem with that? I choose to celebrate my Lord and Saviour on Christmas Day. These Muslims wish to celebrate their religious beliefs on Labor Day. Seems okay by me. I have no problem with this at all. Inclusive means all people and all beliefs. Do you as an atheist wish to have a day? Then so be it!

I agree with you about radical Muslims. In fact I say we teat the radicals of ALL religions that way. Any religious group who tries to force their beliefs on others in any manner, such as trying to get their religious symbols and ideas displayed in government buildings or trying to get prayer to be accepted in the public schools and so on. Any religious group that is trying that hard to force their religious ideas on everyone else needs to be stopped.
Of course I have yet to meet any Muslims who have any ill wishes for me or my family. I have however met my fair share of Christians who have wished me harm though. And considering that if one looks at the odds, it is more likely that me or a members of my family will be murdered in cold blood by a Christian than a Muslim, I am not really worried about Muslims doing any harm to me.
Now I never claimed YOU were one of the Conservatives who felt that way, but if you read the article I linked to, you will see that there have been many who have over reacted on this one. Once more, when I talk about Conservatives or Christians on white men or humans and so on, I am not automatically assuming you fit the mold of which I speak of. I make no such generalizations that all of certain groups follow the same way of thinking to the letter. You are not all conservatives.
Also, they are not celebrating their holiday on Labor Day, they are talking their holiday off instead of taking Labor Day off.
Atheist don't need nay special days because we make what we wish to of the holidays. Christmas is a non-religious holiday for me where the focus is on giving and being with the family. Give me any day off and I will make what I will of it, no matter what the traditional holiday may be for that day.

... I see religions as a whole but, especially the 3 Abraham religions, as the golden key for violence and everything that follow that track ... and sometimes I'm so naiv that I can't understand everyone on this planet don't understand it (because it's so obvious) -
