auslander, around here you have to go someplace special for biking. It seems so silly that in getting to that special bike trail one either has to be in danger, or must transport the bike by vehicle, which I think is ridiculous.

Auslander, I wish I could bike to work and save so much on gas doing so
but the drivers in this city have no mercy on cyclists...even to take a bike ride on a designated biking trail can become an adventure!..

Re: Auslander
Good luck naut!
I think that there is a bit more trails around and in Montréal for bikers than the whole of the Outaouais! Even in Ottawa is not easy: there are nice trails along the Ottawa river, but to get to them you often have to cross dangerous intersections. Nothing's too easy, ain't it?

Auslander
Slowly, very slowly, we're getting a few streets lined with bicycle lanes, and we also have more hiking/biking trails in this area, but it's a very small start, totally insufficient for what's needed! I have plans to approach the town council with my concerns in the fall, but I gotta find the time...

I wish there were safe trails for bikers. My neighbor was hit by a car yesterday! He is fine but the bike is a mess. I couldn't imagine riding on the rode you travel by vehicle! Giant!!! sam
