Some very good points...
I don't believe in love at first sight...to me that is all about looks...infatuation...you can't truly love someone based on looks. You can "desire" someone based on looks.
Love of the everlasting kind, is more complex than that, and takes time and getting to know someone. that is not saying that you can't meet someone, be instantly drawn to them, and have it work out, because that is possible.
Like you, I believe that many relationships are meant to be for a period of time..to serve a purpose.
