Quebec strikes me as a very beautiful place (at least in photos). I'd love to see it some day.

Thanks nautikos! That's exactly what we thought about Via, but as my car's problem is not fixed yet, we had to take it... Hopefully I'll be motorised again tomorow. Wish me luck!

7 hours by train from what, Ottawa, to Quebec City? That's outrageous! I have
driven from Toronto to Quebec City in 8, (because I had to slow down through Montreal, but don't tell the cops, okay? LOL)...But Quebec is certainly worth it. I was there earlier this summer for a couple of days, and I'm tempted to go again, if I find the time - and I ain't taking that sorry excuse for a train called Via Rail...
