lol,,,sounds like the time I treated myself to a bought egg/cheese/
potato/bacon burrito. I sit it on the counter went to the bathroom
and when I returned it was gone. My dog was several feet away
looking so innocent. But the yellow paper was on the floor, not a
scrap of burrito left.

It's perfectly obvious! While you and Bo were still out there, trying to deal with that nasty cat, the pernicious feline dashed into your house, grabbed the donut and left behind a bit of Bo's fur that she had collected and saved for just such an occasion, to make you believe that whatever crime she committed was Bo's doing! But don't allow yourself to be misled, and give Bo a scratch behind the ears from me...
