Funny, her biography does not say she has more experience than Obama.

Her political history shows she has no real experience at all in foreign relations.  She was a mayor of a very small town in Alaska and has only been governor for less than two years.

Obama served eight years as a state legislator (Which really should be viewed as a bigger deal than being Mayor) and has been in the US Senate since 2005, which is THREE years of experience where he has had to deal with foreign relations  and the bigger picture.  That out does Palin's two years as governor of a state easily.

The bet you can say is that she has as much experience as Obama, but there is no justification to claim she has more.  Also, what I find most interesting is that she followed a very corrupt (And very Republican) administration which had really screwed Alaska over, so her approval rating would not be that hard to achieve if you just openly made sure you were not screwing the people over.  I mean when things are really bad, it is not that hard to start making them look better.

Her political views and ideas are clearly WRONG for the needs of this country.  I am not judging her by anything other than that really.  But I will also make sure to point out to anyone who wishes to compare her to Obama, that she does not have more experience than him.  And she very much DOES NOT have experience where it is needed.

Just saying it does not make it true.

Kooka,
Republicans, especially conservatives, are all about hypocrisy. I think McCain made a big mistake choosing her. I think he chose her for the wrong reasons. And, if he thinks he's going to get votes from feminists, he's totally mistaken...most fems are PRO-CHOICE...She is very ANTI-CHOICE. This is all pretty interesting and keeps getting more interesting! Good post, as usual

Palin has been Governor for less than two years and before that she was mayor of a small town. She has ZERO experience with foreign relations.  Oh and she did spend a few years as a city council member way back when, which might be what you are thinking of trying to use to defend your claim.

Obama spent 7 years as in the Illinois state senate, before he got his present position as a Senator for that state, which he has been doing since 2005.  As a senator he has been involved with foreign relations and other issue concerning the WHOLE country.

Obama clearly has more experience where it counts, so if you wish to criticize his experience it is fully hypocritical.  Obama wins in that area.  But as I said in the post, that is not what I am looking at with her, just pointing out the hypocritical nature of her being picked due to the slander that the McCain camp has been using against Obama.  Her basic ideas re WRONG for the growth this nation needs and that is my problem, not that she is more or less the female equivalent of Obama just of the other side of the political avenue.

This is ridiculous.  Sorry Kooka, but you're going to have to do better than that if you think the experience Gov Palin brings is  less than NoBama.

I think the term to be used is "desperation."  Which is what you are experiencing at the mo.
