Savor more; fix less. I liked this part of the excerpt. There is something to be said for the old saying “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. We spend far too much time trying to find solution to something that isn't even a problem and in doing so miss out on the moment. I was going to say that I have switched from being accused of pessimism to being accused of optimism (I have always thought myself a realist) and my experience is that when you are positive you notice the fantastic things about each day. You don't notice that the rain is cold so much as how alive you feel in it, and then you are in the right mood to appreciate the rainbows too.
I do find that I want for less as I am not trying to heal unhappiness with toys.
