- Go to THE GOP IS SETTING THE WOMEN'S MOVEMENT BACK BY DECADES
Janes
Have you actually done any research on Palin? Have you looked at anything other than what the republicans have told you about her?
Her big lie is her involvement with the 'Bridge to Nowhere'. Not only was she not really involved in ending it (At most she can say she signed its death certificate after it had already died) But she was very much pushing for it. At no point did she ever come close to saying 'No thank you' to congress. After it was clear that the bridge was not going to be built, she still took that money and spent it elsewhere.
She has lied about her opposition to earmarks, which as governor she may have tried for less than those before her, but she still lobbied for them and got them.
Go here to see more of her lies.
While I have not yet gone and verified everyone of the claims on the page for myself as of yet, I have looked up the first few and so far this article seems to be accurate about it all.

I don't know which is worse, this lip stick crap or trying to cure the american deficit by inflating tires. I agree, it is a silly game. They both need to focus on some real issues and stop pointing fingers at each other. Seems to me, if they would put more effort in fixing things as they do trying to tear up things, we would all be better off. Enjoyed my read

kooka_lives - one of the big problems with information in this election is
that the internet offers a venue not used to this degree in the past.
I've never seen so many blatant lies, misinformation and half truths masquerading as facts as we are witnessing in this election. The difference from past years must be the general level of computer literacy and the ease of personal publishing. I just read this article HERE . . . where I suspect that a great deal of it is true, how can it possibly be corroborated?
Yeah, the 30 lawyers sent to Alaska by Obama to dig up dirt on Palin is another good one. A half truth wrapped and slanted to sound as if only one side does these things. Of course a surprise pick for a running mate will cause the opposition to scramble to generate a complete background file but it sounds so much better if it is said the other way.

Name your facts, Kooka.
You rattle on against her, maligning her good name, but you don't list the "lies" and such. Meanwhile, Obama and cronies have sent in a bevy of lawyers to try to root about and find dirt. Go figure. You all are sounding more than a wee bit desperate. . . .

In fact, I had not read these two posts when I posted a few minutes ago--
on the same theme. It's the first time the Republicans have made me smile in years!
