Whacky
I have made the same experience with Bubbles the Cat! The more hair you brush out of her, the more quickly it grows back! But I didn't take it to the dump! I was brushing her out on the deck on a windy day in spring, and just let the hair float away! And you know what? Birds picked some of it up for their nests - I kid you not..., and a scratch behind the ears for the dry-cleaned =^..^=

Whackydotter & Bo.
Hey luv, if I had a dog like Bo, I'd use the electrolux and the brush that plugs on the end to do the dog. Maybe you have something like that and never thought of it. Blah

Whacky, It seems to me that dogs are a lot more patient about being brushed than are cats.  Pitiful could stand a thorough brushing every day but she allows about three strokes from the top of her head down her back and that's it.  I guess that's the part she can't reach.  The rest of her shed hair goes all over the carpet and the furniture and I have to clean it up from there.  Long ago I had a collie/golden retriever dog and daily bags of brushed hair, and she was so very patient about it.

Can you now see my wisdom of having Rocky?

He doesn't shed and he gives his love to Bo. Perhaps Bo can teach him how to bark?

Re: What breed is Bo, Whacky?
Bo is a Sheltie mix we think. I got him from the humane society.

I wondered...
Wonder Dog has Wonder Fur...  Our previous dog left dogs-worth of fur all over, all the time...  Davy so far has been more considerate--but he has begun to appreciate the brush, and not just to chew on!
