Fantastic poem! Sad but telling. Like Nautikos I found it disturbing but at the same time very musical, with rhythm and meaning it tells a story and freezes a moment in time... Very well done and I loved the shapes of the words into ... an ashes urn? Outstanding work.

A powerfully disturbing poem...with a kind of haunting rhythm that seems as telling as the words themselves...

Thanks for your replies, they are precious. The blind guy I wrote about was a true enigma and maybe even more troubled than other blind folks. It is such a coincidence but at Walmart today I recognized a blind guy that I had met at a computer training place about three years ago. My heart wanted to say something but I thought too much about it and eventually went about my business, letting him and his guide person do theirs as well. Take care

What beautiful thoughts and words! I've taught blind teenagers, and it's so difficult for us to imagine what they must feel at times.

I wokked for a blind man for some time. He had awesome capacity for voices and memory. Still I think a lot is missed. We just can't fathom the blind mans blues.Right on.
