Dear Mal Thanks for you comment on my blog and Shana Tova

Maybe we and all others purify our neshamas through prayer and teshuva before the Almighty this High Holidays and be inscribed on Yom Kippur for a good, healthy and wealthy year in all things. Each year we draw closer to the coming of Moishiah and G-d grant us the ultimate redemption in this year.

Take care and Shana Tova from Nir and Ilana

Hats off to Jacob! I loved his expression at the end. The blast was precious. Well done! Thank you! sammy

original sin
a way to condemn us all.

then offer a means of recompense, and I don't mean Jesus.  Church power was gained mainly from the masses feeling sinful and needing the Church and, when possible, recompensing the Church for its magnanimity.

Absolutely!
Prayer is the most private of things; everyone has their own relationship and this should be always respected; many blessings and thanks for sharing my friend

Re:
Hey, Sammy - the boys are great!  Both making me proud without being "too" good!  I'd post Jacob's latest movie, but it has some profanity (his friend throws around the f word a bit too liberally), and I think that goes against Blogit rules.  But it is a funny one.  Go on YouTube, look for Cococohen1122 and click on "Sex and The City."  Mal

I liked this view. I am with you, prayer is personal. I do talk to God throughout the day though!  sam

To an atheist like myself, the whole notion of 'original sin' is an absurdity. But I found it of interest that even in very early Christianity that idea apparently did no exist. How and why it emerged, apparently in the third century A.D., is not entirely clear to me...

I like this. The inherent goodness in every human being and every
unconscionable act a detour from that goodness.

You're a special person and I love the way you explain your relationship
with God. I probably feel just about exactly as you do.
