What a terrible thing to have to hear. My daughter was unfortunate enough as a child to have several traumatic experiences. The good news is now as an adult she says they helped her to deal with life better. She was more prepared. I hope this can be true for your children as well. Give them hugs.

I'm sure this whole 'ordeal' was frightening to both you and your children. Imagine being the first one to witness the entire accident on the scene. I once worked as a E.M.T. and I have seen several things that won't leave my consciousness. I hope all of you are fine and you never have to experience anything like this again.

I've that experience when I was in the emergency room once
I had chest pains when others where either stabbed, or have been in awful accidents. It makes me want to jump out of that hospital bed and out the door.
Hope the kids are okay?
-one for each of them :)

Yours was a larger than life account of a larger than life gruesome experience. You had me right there with you in the hospital, hearing the poor man shouting for his Nor. Are your kids ok?
