Paul Newman lived around here - and was so beloved, our local newspaper not only carried the story on the full front page, but throughout the whole front section. He was humble, dignified, and generous as well as a cool cat. If a man is measured by glowing and warm words from those friends and family left behind, then Newman was a GIANT. He'll be missed by the world, of course, but so much more around here. Mal

I am with you
Losing him just feels so huge. You forgot to mention Matthau in the list of greats who have been promoted to heaven.
Few actors hit me that hard, I am not a big Hollywood type but Newman was not only a great actor he always stuck me as a fine human being.
