WOW! That comment is a jolt of adrenaline, Azur. Thank you muchly. I've been trying to work out what you mean by my voice coming through and I think I now understand. I haven't written an article or story for yonks - my excuse is that life gets in the way, but I think it is sheer funk. Your comment has awakened the writing me.

Thanks mneme. I had to wait a few days before seeing the humorous side of it mneme; in fact when I see him now in the pool hall and we greet each other, he still grins that grin that means he knows what I'm thinking. He got over it, so will I.

John MacNab, this was an exceptional read I think
i don't think you realise how well your voice comes through. In my humble opinion you should adapt this voice for your fiction and short stories. Perhaps you are already, and do remember I am just giving an opinion here and don't know much ;-). I suppose what I am saying is let your voice come through. I will send you an email soon-ish. I have a couple of thoughts about it all.
