Comments on MY VISION OF AN ALTERNATE REALITY

If they are all nothing, then why do you pick a side at all?
I am guessing by your statement you mean both conservatives and liberals.

Here I am openly saying I know that the Democrats are just as corrupt general as the republicans.  How is that idealism?

Outside of the corruption, which I have learned to live with, I see the claimed ideas of the Democrats to right now be what is best for country.  If I felt for one moment that the republicans had anything of value to offer right or that their ideas were going to work better that the Dems, I would be going the other way.  But it is as clear as it gets that without even looking at party affiliations, McCain is just straight-out a piss poor choice for President and it would be a great mistake for the people to vote him into office.

There is no idealism here.  I have very openly looked at both candidates, what they stand for what they have claimed to be about and what they have really done in their lives.  The more I learn about McCain the more he scares me that he has gotten as far as he has in politics.  While the more I learn about Obama (I am talking facts here, not the BS propaganda so many have tried to use as if they were facts) the more I like him and feel he knows what he is doing.

Re: mordent, what the hell are you going on about?
They're all in fact nothing and I would get over your idealism once and for all.

mordent, what the hell are you going on about?
I am well aware that both parties are dirty, and there is a  lot out there against McCain.  The Dems don't need to do much digging to find it.  He has dirt, just as much as any other politician who has been playing the game for as long as he has.  If you have the time read this article here about him, showing all his dirt.  So stop pretending McCain is some clean cut miracle boy who is incorruptible.  He is a politicians and he has very questionable morals, that has been very clear for some time now.

And you are way wrong, the Repubs would not have 'given it to us'.  McCain praised the Rev. Parsley, who was basically preaching genocide of the Muslims.  As soon as that came to light, McCain jumped back away from the guy pretending he didn't really know him and then tried to get everyone to forget all the great things he said about the religious nut-job.  Since the Repubs have yet to disown Bush with all he has done, where in the world are you getting the idea that McCain will be disowned, even after all he HAS already done?  Your illusion just does not hold up at all to reality buddy boy.

To see how the repubs treat each other, look back on McCain run for the Republican nomination in 2000.  A lot of bad stuff was said about him back then by those who are now endorsing him.  McCain is not really well liked by a lot of members of his own party.  Hillary and Obama may have gotten a little nasty, but in the end you get the impression they can get along.  You look at how McCain has been treated by members of his own party in the past, and you have to wonder how this guy got the nomination at all this time around.

And for the record it is the conservatives who are right now screaming 'sexist' at everyone.  If I say I dislike Palin's take on economic issues, I get some dumbass Republican telling me and I am sexist and only dislike her because I can't handle the idea of a powerful woman.  It is not sexist to disagree with someone who's views you disagree with.  it would however be sexists to agree with someone who's views you disagree with because they are female.  I do not like Palin because of her VIEWS, not because she is a woman.  So it is clear that is the repubs who are using such 'cheap, shallow weapons to evade the truth'.

Of course you like so many others American Conservatives, did all you could to not address the real issue of the post.  You provided nothing of any real value in your comment and basically did nothing to defend your views.  But it has been made clear to me that the republicans are right now the party of 'nothing', because that is all they have to offer us.

I really see that the elections have twisted your mind into something even Hitchcock wouldn't come up with.

Once and for all politics is dirty. The Republicans are no dirtier than the donkey's. Have you check CNN or Time Magazine or any other Liberal spout? They're doing McCain just as dirty.

You clearly do live in an alternate reality as do all libs. You simply can't handle reality. You cannot handle truth.

Look. The dems don't have the dirt on McCain that the repubs have on Obama. So allow me to play your game....if McCain had been going to an Aryan church in the MidWest and associating with Timothy McVeigh types, you and your ilk would be screaming for his head. And guess what, the repubs would've given it to you. They would have disowned him. But the left doesn't care about their candidates background as long as they get their boy in there.

Look how Hillary and Obama behaved towards each other. Did Romney or Guiliani act like that.

Dems are a bunch of angry, effeminate back-stabbers and this shows in how they are towards each other when power is at stake.

I've also told you if Colin Powell were in there most Repubs would go for it.

Leftists scream racism, sexism, homophobe because this is really all they have. They're cheap, shallow weapons that are used to evade the truth.

Their whole outlook as if it were back in 1963 in the South. They love percieved injustice because it gives them something to ram their dysfunctional heads against.

Oh by the way.... check my post as I've been able to get around to your reply.

Thanks again
