I'm positive Sam was a good man, but his comments about taxes are totally beside the point. As are Thomas Friedman's, who engages in a bit of cheap rhetoric to support a particular political philosophy! Sarah Palin's remark is also stupid, but it, like Friedman's, is meant to illustrate a
different political philosophy, which is valid but, in the current climate, has been painted as somehow 'evil'...

I wonder what people are thinking at times. I am with your Grandfather Sam's approach! He understood opportunity! {Thanks for saying something about my headaches. I went on two new medications today. You hit this one out of the PARK! Palin doesn't even try to hide the fact that she is a ZEALOT! If McCain is elected, dies in office, and Gov. Palin becomes President, expect time to turn backward, 75 years! (Emphasis on BACKWARD!)

I know what to expect from all zealots. they are all "one trick ponies" and they all wear blinders! I would not sleep soundly if any stripe of zealot occupies the White House. Want to go back to the days of back-alley "coat hanger" abortions? Government sanctioned assasination squads, burglaries, racial prejudice, segregation, lynchings, voting fraud, (whoops! thats's happinnin' NOW!) anyway, do you want to feel responsible for putting the equivilent of an "American Taliban" in charge of our country? If so, I hope that you look good in a burkha!

Nothing is more depressing to me than watching Sarah Palin and considering.......even for ONE moment........that she is as close as she is to the White House (although I am quite certain the Dems have it). How did this happen? Is our country overrun by the "paste eaters" that Kooka's post (video of Jon Stewart show) speak of? I am serious.........that you Mal.......or even I would be a stronger candidate. (Okay......I know what you're thinking.......there is NO WAY ZenMom would pass a backround check........she has spent way too much time doing nasty things in hotel rooms......LOL)
